This page explains what information TypeMaster uses and why. We keep things simple: the typing test works without sending your typing to our servers.

Information stored in your browser

TypeMaster saves some data in your own browser (using "local storage") so the site remembers you on your next visit:

• Your settings: language, theme, font, text size and test options.
• Your latest speed, used to show your typing spirit animal.
• Your recent test results (speed, accuracy, date), shown in the History panel. They stay in this browser only and are not sent to us.

You can delete all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for TypeMaster.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use TypeMaster, for example which pages are visited and how long people stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type. This data is aggregated and helps us improve the site. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

TypeMaster uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to TypeMaster and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in How Google uses cookies in advertising.

Other third-party services

• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and icons from cdnjs (Cloudflare). These services receive standard technical information such as your IP address when your browser downloads the files.
• The "Buy us a coffee" button links to Ko-fi. Anything you do on Ko-fi is covered by Ko-fi's privacy policy.

Children

TypeMaster is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the site does not require an account to be used.

Changes to this policy

If we change how TypeMaster handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
